I've been a Braves fan since I was a little kid and one of the things I've always loved about them is that they consistantly have high quality people playing for them. They really care about who their players are as people and anyone who is a less than stellar human being doesn't stay around long. This year's Richmond Braves team is a great example. They have a collection of guys who are some of the nicest people you could ever want to meet, like Joe Winkelsas, Will Startup, Jonathan Johnson, Anthony Lerew, Gregor Blanco, Macay McBride, and Billy McCarthy to single out a few. Teams like Richmond are the reason that I continue to love baseball and going out and getting autographs. They make it so easy to forget the occasional jerk because for every one of them there are easily thirty other guys who are great to fans.
