I realized I haven't posted in a few days. School's kicking my ass this week. Not that it matters, nobody reads this anyway. I don't think I mentioned that I met Steve Carlton the other day. Lefty, a bonafide Hall of Famer, one of the greatest pitchers in history. And, he was cool as hell. He signed five cards for me. There are some scrub triple-A players that go out of their way not to sign one card, and Steve Carlton signs five. I have to wonder if those guys that are stingy signers ever hear someting like that and think, "Man. I am an asshole." Probably not. Still, the vast majority of ballplayers are great guys who have no problem taking time to sign autographs and talk to fans. This is one of those posts that has nothing to do with dropout.
