How do you run out of glasses at IHOP?
We shot a couple of scenes at Katie's house last night. The scenes included Shifty and Eric and those guys have worked together enough now that things go pretty smoothly when it's just them. They know the lines well enough that they could do them in funny voices and funny tones. Or not so funny voices and not so funny tones. Shifty is getting better at the stuff he does that makes filming annoying, like not shifting so much and being able to continue even if he fucks up. Don't get me wrong, the dude kicks ass on camera, just the little piddly stuff adds time gives me an upset stomach. I think I've gotten an upset stomach every time we've done any shooting. I can't imagine if I had millions of dollars riding on something; I'd probably be throwing up all over the place. The guys did great; there's a scene with peanutbutter and jelly that is one of my favorites in the movie. Eric had to eat four or five peanutbutter and jelly sandwitches. After the first take he's almost in tears, "I need milk!" Great. Katie went out and got tipsy while we were shooting so she came back like the Energizer Bunny; she's a fun drunk. She and her roommates have these kittens and they were running all over the place meowing and causing a ruckus. Needless to say there were a lot of cooking jokes being thrown around. Apparently Eric doesn't like cats so it was pretty damn funny when, during one of the takes, one of the cats came up and started rubbing itself against his leg. Afterwards we went to IHOP and they only had one guy working for the Saturday 3AM rush. Ridiculous. They didn't have any clean glasses and our food sucked. It's not the waiter's fault, but unfortunately he's the guy that's in front of me that I can vent my frustrations to. We're doing some more filming on Wednesday and probably over the weekend. So yeah, things are coming along.

I went to a burger king in NC once, they were out of burgers, pickles, cheese, any kind of soda, and sweet tea. So I have been there, The bloopers are really funny. It looks like you guy are having fun. The girlfriend is EXACTLY how I pictured her when I read the script. Good on you all for casting and acting. cant wait to see the final product. I was playing around with writing a new song for you... if it happens, I will let you know. If not... I think "Closer to You" works. Hope all is well.

We really can't go wrong with one of any of your songs. I really love "Motion Picture Soundtrack", not just cause it's a great song, but because people who check I tell to check out your songs all ask if you wrote it for the movie. A song just for us would be awesome, that would make me feel special. I went to a Taco Bell in Oxford, NC and they allowed smoking; I don't know what's going on down there. Thanks so much for checking things out. I'm going to try my best to make sure I can see you play at the Attucks Theater on the 17th cause I want to see and hear the live show. Thanks again, take care.
