The Tigers are going to the World Series. That's just amazing; they lost 116 games four years ago and have lost 400 over the last four years. How could you not root for a team like that? Plus, they have some players from Virginia colleges: Old Dominion's Justin Verlander, VCU's Brandon Inge, and Richmond's Sean "The Mayor" Casey. I've met a lot of the Tigers players and they're all great guys. When they win the World Series, yeah, win, I hope they give a ring to Alan Trammell. He was the manager for the last few losing years and he helped a lot of their players learn at the big league level. I don't know that he could have taken them to the Series like Leyland has, but I know that they wouldn't be there without Trammell's work.
