Cake is its own reason.

We took over a corner of the Borjo Coffeehouse at ODU to shoot a scene for Speaking Japanese. I never got the guy's name cause he mostly talked to Travis, but the manager of the Borjo is the greatest guy ever. We asked if we could shoot there and he's like, "Sure." Travis asks, "We don't need to get any clearance or anything." The dude responds quick as hell, "You just did." Awesome. Once I get his name I'll give him some love again, but you should definitely go to the Borjo and buy the hell out of whatever they have that you like. Sibley reccomends the brownies. So it was Ashleigh's first scene of the movie and she and Sibley "kicked the shit out of it" to borrow a phrase from Ashleigh. Seriously, they were great. We had a lot of camera setups, probably too many, but we got some great stuff-the closeups were fantastic. JoAnna Lynne even stopped by and hung out and made a cameo. They actually played a song by her boyfriend's band, The Influence, over the P.A. Odd coincidence. Anyway, we got her sitting, reading and drinking some coffe-or whatever the hell she was drinking-and reacting to some of the more interesting moments of 'Nikki' and 'Jordan's' conversation. I sat in a chair nearby, doing the same thing, bringing my total appearances in the movie up to three now. I'm going for a fourth one-voice only-pretty soon here too. So we had a blast doing that and afterwards Travis and I went over to Ashleigh's mom's house and her mom gave us some of the best steak I've ever had and some cake. Mmm, cake.
