Nothing good I'm sure. Which, by the way, I decided I like hanging out with Katie and Heather-our friend Heather, not her sister Heather, though I do like hanging out with Katie and her sister Heather-because they don't call me self depricating, they just laugh and realize that's how I deal. Yeah Sibley, that was just for you. And I'm not a redhead. My beard is red, but my head hair is sandy blonde. Katie called it "dirty blonde" but I told her we prefer "sandy" over the negative connotations involved with the word "dirty". That's a pretty funny joke that just comes off dumb. Anyway, Travis got us all set up to use the baseball field at Christopher Newport University. Apparently the baseball coach there is as cool as Rob at The Borjo. We figured out how to use a car battery to give us the ability to use lights and the monitor out in the middle of the field. We went up to check out the field but it was all closed up with high fences so Travis stood on my shoulders and checked it out. He says it looks good and I'm taking his word for it. I was pretty leery when he said he was going to stand on my shoulders, but he's super light and I have these cro-magnon shoulders anyway, so it turns out I could have done that all day. While we were driving around all over Newport News we pulled out the old High-8 camera and opined on indie filmmaking, the hardships, the need for perseverence and personal confidence, the major difference between fake independence-five million dollar movies on Warner Independent and Fox Searchlight-and real independence-dropout productions-and the fact that if it weren't for each of us having a personal despiration that none of this would be happening. I don't know if anyone will ever watch any of it, but we had a pretty good night. I also feel that I must mention how much I love it when I get to spend some lunchtime with Silent P. I just have a fucking good time when we hang out. Just a lot of laughing, even at the stuff that isn't funny at all, and that's absolutely what I'm about. Good work Silent P.
