Into the Wild, young actors, Thoreau.
The other night I saw Into the Wild and it really is just a beautiful movie. Never mind the fact that the story is interesting and the acting is great, the movie just looks like something you want to look at. Sean Penn sort of made a love letter to the majesty of our country. My only complaint is that this is now the second movie where I've been forced to see Emile Hirsch's penis. What's up with all the penises lately? Are the filmmakers thinking that boobs have become boring, time to mix it up with some penises? If so, they're dead wrong. Boobs never get boring. Anyway, I was really pleased that Jena Malone had a larger part than the previews suggested; she's a wonderful young actress and I hope she starts getting in more stuff. Maybe she's in a lot of indie stuff I'm not aware of. Despite not wanting to see his penis anymore, I'm a fan of Emile Hirsch, he's got a great career ahead of him. Keeping in the vien of young actors in this film that I really like, Kristin Stewart is working toward being the wounded dove of her generation. I hope she can keep it up because she really has a lot going for her; nobody saw In the Land of Women but she was great in that too. So yeah, Into the Wild, fantastic movie that you should definitely go see. Particularly if you're a fan of Thoreau.
