Completely random stuff from my day.
I told this girl Molly that I had recognized her around campus since I first started at ODU cause she dresses like a super model. She's like, "Yeah. I do." I thought that was pretty cool. Weezer came up on my Ipod like six times today; "Undone (The Sweater Song)" is one of my all time favorites. I know I've been in school too long cause I'm covering some of the same writers/works for the third time. We're going over Chinua Achebe's Thing Fall Apart in a couple weeks and I know it's at least the second and probably the third time I've had it in a college class. In another class we're talking about Ralph Waldo Emerson and Henry David Thoreau and as much as I love the Transendentalists, I know this is at least the third and maybe the fourth time I've gone over them in a college class. I guess the good news is that I'll get A's. Our discussion of Emerson today was pretty relavent to my blog from yesterday because we talked about how Nature's basic argument is to look at life symbolically or analogously, basically to look at the subtext of reality. All I'm saying is that Emerson was all about subtext and they're still talking about him almost a couple of hundred years later. As for Thoreau, I'm totally going to write that story about the man in the off-ramp woods. It's in my head now. I bought some new underoos. It's pretty awesome when you've lost enough weight that your whitey-tighties aren't tight anymore. How did I not know that Eisely had a new album come out three months ago? I'm going to go buy that before I do my homework. Why did you get all the way to the end of this blog? Don't you feel cheated? Aren't you a bit upset that you wasted your time with this nonsense? Go do something productive and useful for yourself. Go on. Get!
