Yeah, it's been like a week since my last post. It sucks, but that's just how things go at the end of the semester. Anyway, some cool stuff still happened in the last week, the first one being the 96X Winter Meltdown on Tuesday. I went with Eric, Meghan, B-Mello, Bob, and Inger and had a hell of a good time. I met up with Meghan, Inger and Bob at Delvecchio's and had the best three dollar meal I've ever had. I also accidentally walked in on a girl in the bathroom and she turned out to be the girl that ended up taking my order, so that was nice and awkward. Eric and B-Mello met up with us in time to wait in the long ass line for forty-five minutes and freeze our asses off. When we finally got inside I was surprised to hear The Influence playing; last I had heard they got screwed and kicked off the bill because 96X had too many band for too short of a time-don't know what rocket scientist finally figured that one out, but good job Einstein. My surprise didn't get to last since they were already at the end of their set. So the band's big break at the huge show ended up being three songs in front of like forty people. Fucking radio station. Not all of the bands were great; Red Jumpsuit Apparatus wasn't very good, Silverchair severly overestimated their popularity, and The Starting Line has severely regressed as a band in the three years since the last time I saw them. I kind of liked Shiny Toy Guns, but maybe that was just that I liked the chick in the band. The Bravery was fucking awesome. I had no idea; they went on way too early but they rocked the shit out of the place. Paramore also rocked the shit out of the place. It was a really, really young crowd and I think most of them were there for Paramore, both cause they all sung along and also because they all left as soon as Paramore finished. All I know is that Hayley Williams is my rockstar crush. Me-row. All those kids that left missed one of the best bands ever, Jimmy Eat World. They're old as hell but they're still great. I kind of forgot just how much I love that band. But yeah, there was a lot of good music and I got to hang out with my friend. Got to make fun of Eric for wearing earplugs. Got to hear Bob and Inger speak in Dutch; those two are just odd, really fun, but really odd.
