I had to throw away the throwaway trim.

So on Friday I rode up to Arlington to see The Influence play at IOTA. Seems like a long way to drive to see a band that I was going to see the next night in the city I live it, but I hadn't been out of town in a while, I had a nice drive up with little to no traffic, and I had a great time while I was there. I got there a little before Travis and the band, so I walked around the area a little bit. It was odd because there was snow-maybe not snow, but frost, but to me it's snow-on the ground, very different from Virginia Beach. It was cold as balls and raining a little. Anyway, after they got there, Travis and I tried to find a Best Buy to buy some more tapes so Travis could record their set and Honor By August's. We ended up spending an hour getting lost in Arlington, finding the ghetto-which Travis doesn't think was a ghetto and called me racist for saying so, but I know a ghetto when I see one and that was the ghetto-and ending up right in front of the Pentagon-which really shouldn't allow just anyone to be that close to it. We never found the Best Buy but we did find a Rite Aid. Back at IOTA this one dude was already drunk off his ass for the first band; actually he was drunk during sound check. Not a bad dancer though. But why do all drunks turn their anger toward women? Apparently whenever Honor By August plays at IOTA their friend hooks them up with the lights so there was this ridiculous light show for them and The Influence. The guys, as always, were great, but everything just seemed better with the light show. I love "Slipping"; that song is just so fucking good. Honor By August has a nice little following up there; the chicks dig them. A couple of drunk chicks were dancing all sexy-or trying to dance all sexy-on each other, trying to get John into them. He moved to the other side of me, putting me inbetween him and the girls, so they just started dancing on me. One of the perks of hanging with the band is that you get the throwaway trim, but, in this case, I had to throw it away too.
