A bunch of stuff.
I really liked my horoscope yesterday: "It's not hard to figure out where you fit in, though you might not like the role you've been taking on. Just because you agreed to something in the beginning doesn't mean you have to keep agreeing." I don't know, I just thought that was really positive. Was that necessarily an accurate representation of my day yesterday? No, not in any tangible way, but I think horoscopes are usually more about feeling and intention and thought process than any sort of real-world actions anyway. I'm not superstitious really, like I don't believe in any greater forces or anything, but for some reason I take stock in horoscopes. It's the only thing I check every day in the newspaper. They really open the door for a lot of interperative questions; is my day affected subconsciously because of my horoscope? do they ever come true or do we adjust what we read in them to make them true. I like them. Sometimes I read other people's horoscopes and then talk to them later to see how they matched up. Bet you didn't know that about me. I saw Walk Hard yesterday and it was pretty hilarious. Not anywhere near as funny as Knocked Up or Superbad, but it was really good. It got a little heavy-handed with the satire sometimes, but sometimes that worked great. The Tim Meadows' drug parts were fantastic. The portrayals of famous rockers were great; my favorite was Jack White as Elvis ("What the fuck was he talking about?") Jenna Fischer is cementing her place in my heart. Our buddy Matt Buckwalter's got himself a
blog, though he doesn't update it as much as I update this one. Though I haven't really been updating much lately. He's got some shorts he's done on there. Most of them scare me. He's also got a pretty cool idea for a movie that I think he and I are going to do. Still a lot to be worked out on it, but it's pretty interesting.
