Mike and I spent some time being productive, creative, and just having some fun. I came up with the idea the other day for a webshow, just some five to nine minute webisodes that we can put up here on the old world wide interweb for you to enjoy and to allow us to have some fun and feel like we're doing worthwhile things with our time. The webshow is called Dick and Fart Jokes and it's probably going to be worse than it sounds. Throughout the filming of Speaking Japanese, Mike has made a bunch of suggestions for things and, for one reason or another, maybe because he's just wired that way, a lot of them end up being what I label as "dick and fart jokes". Well, a lot of times, they're really funny, but they don't work at all for the movie. That's just not what Speaking Japanese is about-aside from one extended masturbation joke that no one is going to get anyway. But, Dick and Fart Jokes is most definitely about dick and fart jokes. Yep, this webshow, which is more or less completely ad-libbed and almost completely devoid of any kind of technical camera work or continuity editing, is the place for Mike to run wild with whatever kind "unrefined" humor he wants to. And for me too, cause frankly I think of "low-brow" stuff all the time that I wouldn't really want to write into any script that I'm working on or maybe really see through in any way. We filmed the first three webisodes today, "Starting a Band", "Exercise", and "Internet Porn", and in the next few weeks I'll be loading them up here for your enjoyment. Or for you to watch and say I really wish I hadn't seen that. Whatever, I had fun doing it.
