Completely unnecessary updates on things that may or may not be related to dropout productions.
Reality check.
Have you ever been blown off by someone who's way less cool than you are? It sucks. It happened to me yesterday; during my midterm for my 20th century American novel class I had to go to the computer lab to print out my work and while I was waiting for the computer to load up, I looked at the computer next to me and saw a copy of American Gods by Neil Gaiman. Well, if you know me at all, then you know how much I love Neil Gaiman, so I pointed at the book and said to the girl sitting next to me, "That's an outstanding book." The girl looked at me, nodded curtly, and said, "Yeah," then turned to the screen, ending any conversation. Now I didn't want to get into a whole thing, but I was a little put off by her baroque treatment. Then, as I further examined the situation, I was even more put off by it. I don't want to be mean, but this girl was a dork. There's no nice way to say it; she just wasn't cool by any stretch of the imagination. Not even like, acceptable. I know it's a dick thing to say, but be honest, we all judge everyone around us all the time. If you saw this girl you'd say the same thing, you just might not write online about it and admit it. So she blows off my innocuous, polite comment. Weak. And it's not like I could have made her nervous; I'm not blind, I'm no Adonis. I'm not even average. Maybe she looked at me and thought, "Why is this dork talking to me?" Fucking screwy.
